Kamiko's Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day has come and gone once again, and this year I only got one small present. Now, it may sound like I'm complaining, but I assure you dear readers, even one small token can prove to be the most special of all if it comes from the heart.

Some might say that corporate gains have ruined a majority of our annual traditions. From Easter to Halloween, New Years to Christmas, one cannot help but feel that the true meaning of it all is often lost in the advertising hype. There are ready-made chocolates and other foodstuffs for every occasion, a true abundance of fattening treats that are designed to make any one's dream day just that little more indulgent. It's hardly ever that you can taste someone's own efforts at cooking and baking each bite-sized morsel with care, or the loving drizzle of a white-chocolate ink message across a sweet as sugar canvas. That's what made the card which arrived with my present all the more unique as even the card it came with was made of soft biscuit and had its message engraved with icing. Kamiko was the first to inform me of its arrival, that sunny afternoon.

"A Valentine's Day gift has arrived," said the length of ribbon which had curled up against my foot. "It was just sitting there so I thought that I had best inform you. Kamiko is excited and so you should be too."

I followed the length out the doorway and saw it coil down the hall. A long and winding stretch of turquoise fabric upon which the inky messages were scrawled. It surprised me to see it flow so far, around corners and under tables as well as other tiny spaces which only a muse knew to navigate. Thoughts began to whir through my mind as I contemplated the surprise.

I wonder who it could be from. Who on Earth would send me a gift after all this time? A girlfriend from my University days, perhaps? Or maybe a secret admirer from work?"

"Follow this along if you want to find out"

There was a thick scent of vanilla flavouring permeating from the length of bow, one which reminded me of what peculiar new behaviours I had observed Kamiko undertaking in the kitchen at breakfast....

**************************************************************************
The sounds of people talking in the kitchen was what woke me. I waited around the corner and watched her putter about the tabletops whilst listening to the radio atop the fridge.

"Well hey there listeners! You do know it's a special day today right?!"

The little muse perked up from her bowl of cereal, cheeks puffed up and out like a chipmunk's.

"Of course they do. It's Valentine's Day after all."

There was a gleam in her emerald green eyes as they widened. She chewed her food thoughtfully before swallowing then proceeded to crawl towards the dial to turn up the volume. Her sunflower-yellow dress billowed around her curves as she inched ever closer, her tubby inner thighs rubbing together gently before she plopped back down on her rear.

"So, unless you've been living under a rock for all these years, or are a complete social recluse, everyone's gotta have heard of this one. I tell you, it's being advertised practically everywhere you look."

Those words seem to have had a profound effect on her as Kamiko began to take stock of her surroundings with an inquisitive glare, eyeing all that she could see. I could not help but stare myself as I noticed that she had filled out the small yellow dress even more over the time she had started to live with me. A good few centimetres of pale white belly just peeping out through the hem of her dress a little more each day, which was a rather noticeable change for a girl about six inches high. Whilst technically bordering between overweight and obese, she was still fortunately light enough to conceal in one's pocket.

"Totally. I for one am going to be glad when this holiday is over and done with. Any more of those candy hearts and I think I'm going to puke."

"Whoa-whoa, just because you're unpopular doesn't mean everyone else is. Or is it that you've forgotten the true meaning of the holiday amidst all the feasting?"

The long, bounded braid of hair at the back of her head began to flick back and forth like the arm of a metronome, as though keeping her very thoughts in time with her head. Pure white except for the inky black tips gave it some semblance to an artist's brush at work. The turquoise bow upon it began to ravel and unravel as layers of unintelligible text flowed through them. She was thinking about something and wanted her ideas scrambled on purpose.

"Maybe it's because I am rather old and jaded. You tell me then, what do you think the holiday is about? I say it's about expensive restaurants, a baby sitter that charges double and a half for overtime and an alcohol induced nightmare that doesn't end when you wake up in the morning."

"Whoa again! This is a kid friendly program you know!"

"Yeah, yeah...my bad..."

I had never seen her look so keenly interested in anything other than food or myself before. Kamiko looked so perfectly mesmerised by their words that she sat unmoving after a while. Her tiny, pudgy fists were pumped against her knees as she allowed her belly to sink into the space between her crossed legs.

"ANYWAY! For the less jaded out there, unlike my co-host here, why not bring back a little bit of that special feeling back into your day. Send flowers, cards or gifts to ones you love, but take things a step further and make it a gesture from the heart. Hand make everything if you must, but don't tell them who it's from! For the next half hour, we'll run you through the basics of how to make something truly sweet for that special someone."

Thigh pressed against thigh as more and more of her belly sunk into ever-shrinking gap whilst the rest of her leaned forward. Kamiko's pudgy little fingers immediately twisted the volume dial down to a near inaudible whisper whilst pressing herself so close to the speakers so that only she might hear what secrets those disembodied voices had to bestow.

It was at this point that I decided to leave her to her machinations. The trek back upstairs was a difficult one to make whilst trying to ignore the sounds of eggs breaking across polished marble floor and the strained whirs of things which should never be caught in between egg beaters. I reasoned it would be more of a mystery that way, which in turn made things more exciting.

***********

By the time I had arrived, both my thoughts and the length of ribbon I was following had come to their end. Kamiko was nowhere to be found but the neatly wrapped box which sat upon the table next to her little, stuffed green crocodile confirmed my suspicions. It was quite large and rectangular with ample sticky-tap around the same festive wrapping I had used last Christmas to help keep it all in place. I took the package and examined it closely. My name and address were inscribed on the front in neat print that looked rather familiar. Love hearts of assorted colours; reds, greens, blues, oranges and gold adorned the back and sides as though to add their own special touch. One particularly large pink and purple heart had been drawn down the middle with a pure white envelope placed over the top. Within was the card-shaped biscuit and its icing engraved message.

"STOP ADMIRING IT AND OPEN THE DAMN THING!"

It was not exactly the most romantic of messages...but it was really the thought that counted. I carefully opened the box to extract its precious contents. There was a sharp gasp of air.

Within was my tiny muse, naked from head to toe except for the drizzles of melted, dark chocolate. More than an entire bottle of syrup had been emptied into the container, with extra coating smeared heavily across her breasts and crotch to form a pair of edible undergarments. Only her pale white stomach had been spared from any hint of a chocolate dip, its enormous bulge hanging out a lot further than usual and showing signs of recent growth. Her breasts rested atop the new folds which she cupped between her fingers, heaving rapidly as she fought to catch her breath. Her inexplicable growth had left her heavier and well padded as ripples around her hips as they continued to stretch with new found fatness. I watched in amazement as that belly fold began to sag lower and further than ever whilst the fat of her relatively enormous thighs sunk into the underside of her gut. Tiny cheeks flushed crimson as she sat up, her bloated upper arms jiggling and swaying ever so slightly as she pointed towards me and the lid I still held in my hand.

There was a message inscribed along the underside in chocolate.

"I love you and wish you a happy Valentine's day. Love from...?"

Another pink love-heart was drawn on the back and tied to Kamiko's bow at the bottom. I brushed some of the chocolate off to read the tiny inscription whilst my darling little muse fell into an exhausted sleep with a tiny chocolate splash.

"It must be a mystery girlfriend, huh?"

I smiled at her, noting a contented look upon her face for the very first time as she went to dream sweet dreams whilst floating upon the waves of her creation.

"Yes, certainly someone who loves me very much."
